Friends Volunteer Opportunities
A great way to enjoy Greenwich Library resources – please join us once a month for about an hour to check a Library shelf. You can pick your favorite "area of interest" and come in at your convenience. Training is the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 10:30 am. Call Karen Koetter, Chairman, at 769-5384 for more information.
The Flinn Gallery is a non-profit, education oriented exhibition space that presents art in all mediums from a wide range of periods, visions and techniques. Over 11,000 people view its exhibitions a year from September through June. Each exhibit is publicized to over 5,000 area residents and includes an opening reception. Artwork is for sale. The Gallery takes a modest commission on all works sold from each exhibit. These funds help to support the programs of the Friends of the Greenwich Library. To join the art committee at the Flinn please call Membership Chair Linda Butler at (203) 637-3558.
Lending Art is an extensive collection of various artworks acquired over the years by the Friends of the Library. It is available to all patrons and can even be checked out on a long-term basis. Help is needed in cleaning and maintaining the artwork and the catalogs. Call the Friends office 622-7938 to volunteer.
