Student Volunteer Program: Tech Support

Who may apply:

High school students in grades 9 – 12 who live in or attend schools in Greenwich, Connecticut.

When:

All volunteers MUST attend an orientation before they begin volunteering. Orientations are held every Saturday at 1pm and meet at the Welcome Desk. Volunteers are required to work a minimum of a two hour shift. Available days and times are Monday through Friday 9am - 9pm, Saturdays 9am - 5pm, and Sundays 1pm - 5pm.

What:

Assist patrons using public computers with any of the following: logging in and off PCs, online registration, internet searching, managing email. Creating documents, file management (attaching, saving, sending, deleting and printing documents), filling out online forms, MS Office help (for example how to copy and paste). Assist the Technology Training Center at Greenwich Library with Drop-In Computer Lab, a public training class that offers one on one help with computer skills, Internet searching and Library resources.
