About the Library

 

Welcome to the Byram Shubert Library. Byram Shubert, a branch of Greenwich Library, is the cultural, educational, and social heart of Byram and western Greenwich.

We have a fresh adult, children, and YA collection that includes current and popular library materials for everyone. Additionally, we feature a Spanish language adult and children’s collection. Our periodicals include local and national newspapers and magazines in English and Spanish.

The Friends of Byram Shubert Library

The Friends of the Byram Shubert Library is a volunteer organization founded in 1953 to support the Byram Shubert branch of the Greenwich Library. The Friends sponsor a wide variety of community-oriented programming and physical improvements to the building. We feature exhibits of work by local artists, musical nights, lectures for adults, after-school performances for children, and weekend crafts for families.

Book Sale

The Friends of the Byram Shubert Library have had to discontinue the operation of our Book Sale. Begun in 2005, our twice-yearly sales quickly became widely popular among a diverse set of patrons. We will greatly miss greeting old and new friends at those events. Those who wish to donate books can contact a variety of sites including:
